I'll never forget when I started my new job after erac I got a horrible migraine headache like my 3rd day on the job and I felt so guilty asking my new boss if I could leave early. I started explaining to him like "yea I get these migraines every so often" and he was just looking at me like why are you explaining yourself. I still explain and get that guilty feeling to this day...guess erac scarred me for life.

By the way, I'm actually sad to be working from home today because today is Red Sox day at work. We get to wear our Red Sox apparel. I should of known the soxs were going to make it and re-arranged my telecommuting schedule for this week...darn!
Seriously, remember how taking a day off would be like committing a mortal sin. Your ARM or BM would be pissed that you actually wanted to use the pathetic choice time given. I remember once when Christmas was on a Sunday and the rest of the world had Monday off but not ERAC. We had to work but we were given a floating day to be used within two weeks. Well, try scheduling that when it's only you and another employee running the branch. Now, no worries. In fact this year with Christmas on the Tuesday we get Monday off, Tuesday off, and I took Wednesday off. No problems, no stress just the way life should be.

Um....you make no sense. They don't take vacations in Maryland? No wait, YOU don't take vacations because 1. your ARM won't let you have time off and 2. you can't afford it. So now you try to play it off by saying you don't want to take days off because your work ethic is so strong. Beep beep beep...that's my bullshit alarm going off. My firm actually encourages people to take time off so they don't burn out and end up quitting. By the way, how is the retention rate for ERAC in MD?

Wow, you are so witty. Later today I am going to go to a wishing well. When I get there I am going to take a dime, nay, a quarter. I am going to close my eyes real tight and gaze towards the sky. Then I am going to drop that quarter right on in and wish that some day, some how I can grow up to be just like you.

Sounds like someone just couldn't cut it. Why didn't ever step up and say something? If you were so unhappy why didn't you refuse to the work. Or do it wrong? I'd really like to know what you do now. Were you expecting to come out of college and make 50 g's right away??
Damage Waiver is easy to sell if you know the facts. In the end it saves you money if something happens. It sounds to me as though you had no knowledge of what you were even doing.

P.S. You won't ever make it anywhere in life. You sound like too much of a pushover.

lol i love it, couldn't cut it.
that must be the only reason why someone would leave erac...nothing to do with the minimal wage, long work week, shit customers, overbearing micromanaging aloof hierarchy, outdated dress code, and the embarrassment of portering and cleaning cars. These reasons have nothing to do with people leaving/quitting, they just couldn't hack it.
and for your info, most of my friends with BS degress were making right around 50k outta college. some even a little more, some a little less but the median is right around 50k.
keep on telling yourself 30k is a good wage for a college educated person.
but those with real degrees know different.

You have to love it. Every Eracer says the same damn thing. Every ex employee was lazy, has no work ethic, ...couldn't cut it couldn't cut it...blah blah. its like a friggen broken record. And lots of people make 50k right out of college.

You're a douche. No one can just walk up to a BM or ARM at ERAC and say:

"hey I'm unhappy here...Oh and by the way I'm going to refuse to work more than 40 hours a week too. Also, its ridiculous to wear a suit and wash cars so tomorrow, I'm going to come to work in jeans."

You'd be cleaning out your desk so fast (although there isnt anything to clean as you really dont have a desk). I guess you can clean up your stupid meaningless business cards.

You must of majored in gym class because I'm pretty sure most people who graduate from a reputable college with a decent major and GPA can easily find a job where they make 50k or more to start. You see 50K isnt a lot of money except to MTs who work at ERAC.

Typical erac loser. And instead of trying to form a convincing argument he is trying to sell me dub...seriously dude? I could cut it just fine thank you very much. I was promoted regularly and was making good money. However in the long run I have to look at other facts and ask myself serious questions: Did I go to college to work retail? no; Is it fine to wash cars in a suit and tie in 100+ degree weather or 19 degree snow? no; Is it worth it having customers actually yell and swear at me on a regular basis? no; AM I actually running my own business? no; that last one really got me. Now seriously oh ye defenders of the E, how many of you actually run your own branch? Aside from unlocking the door and locking up at night? Anyone? If you say yes then let me ask you some questions. Can you hire, fire, promote, demote any person you want? no; Can you set the dress code? no; Can you choose to bend the rules when you see fit to get a car on the road? yes...but, if the shit hits the fan you will be the first to go. Do you have ultimate, final control over your branch, your promotability or the promotability of your employees? no. Face it, you are NOT running your own business. You are a lackey. And unless your last name is Taylor it will never be your business...ever. When you are an MT you answer to the BM, as a BM you answer to the ARM, ARM to RRM, RRm to RVP, RVP to GM, and so on. Now, will some bi E defender have a valid argument? Stay tuned for weekend update.
