Happy 4th of July weekend! And congrats ERACers, one of the "Big 6" days off you get...unless you work at an airport, sorry guys. Anyways, my vacation starts at 3 tomorrow afternoon as my firm shuts down early so people going away can beat the traffic a bit. I'll actually wait until about 8 before i head out on the road though. Heading to Maine for the 4th, OOB to be exact with a couple of friends. Probably hang up there until Sunday night and then, since I am off all next week, I'll head to my place on the lake up in NH. Maybe take out a boat, do a tubing trip down the Saco, and just plain relax and have a cigar and beer. ANd I'll still have 3 1/2 weeks vacation! Man, it's great. And not once while I'm away will I think about work, or get a phone call from my ARM asking some dumb ass question. Nope, it's all my time.

I work smarter not harder! I make more than I did at ERAC, work way less hours, in a better environment, with no dress code (other than business casual), climate controlled building, no washing cars in 95 degree heat or 10 degree cold, 5 weeks vacation, 11 holidays, soooo why would I ever have stayed at ERAC? ANd fyi, I made it to BM and finally woke up and realized I didn't like what I was doing or becoming. Falling asleep every night at 8:30 from being so tired and then having to get up at 6 the next morning and do it again. I hated in the summer, working on a Saturday and seeing everyone going into the coffee shop across the street on their way to the beach and here I was at work. Sure, I tried to convince myself it was fine, I'm out at noon then have the whole day. Bullshit. So, I work smarter, not harder and I am in a better position. So piss off donkey!
