I really like this forum. ERAC truly did suck ass and I'm glad to have left. I won't say I'm "rolling in the dough" or anything like that, but I did get full tuition waiver plus fellowship cash to law school and business school, so I'm pretty happy and that is what counts.

Anyway, I have a question for anyone who has done a real MBA. I'm a law student / MBA student who is much more serious about law then business. But I see the need to have an MBA (I still won't have an IOU but I would rather have that than a virtual one, think about it, virtual means not real) and I have a question.

I took finite math my first year in college and have not really touched the stuff since.
I have a good semester to kill (since I'm a research ass.((That's kind of funny)) and pretty much live on grants) and was wondering if you guys think I should audit a finite math course (or higher) before the MBA starts. It is doable but I would rather be reading or doing any number of things then taking a math course over.

BTW, to give specifics (so you might be able to tell me exact info knowing the program) I'm going to the U of M law school (J.D.) and Carlson School of Management (M.B.A.) so if you went there or know anyone that did, that would be great if you know the programs.

Best,
Former Minion

P.S. If admin or the site owner is looking at this, I will be looking for internships after 1L and this would be pretty fun to put on the old resume and I imagine this site has it's fair share of legal troubles

If you have any exp. in this area, that would be great.
I graduated with a real MBA three years ago. Not all classes will require the use of math. You'll need to be familiar with statistics and algebra for your econ, operations, finance, and accounting courses. If you've have these types of classes before you'll be fine.

Overall, I thought the MBA was easier than my undergrad work. Everyone should do it if they get the chance.

Ok, that sounds good. I'm not bad at math but I really hate the upper level stuff.
It sounds like the stuff I did as an undergrad. Stats has always been a strong area but I just started reading about people using calc and was getting a little worried (since part of my money depends on my doing the M.B.A. part of the deal).

Thanks for the advice!

How do people really make six figures on their first job? I mean, that is a lot of money man!
I will be lucky to make 86K my first year out of law school / business school (median) but six figures?!
Do people realize how much money that is?
Holy shit. I guess if I made that much washing cars it would be ever setting foot in a courtroom but damn!

Also, I really like Corona but it has a weird skunky taste ( I think it's from the sunlight ((clear bottle)) you guys like Blue Moon with an orange? That is a solid brew.
You sound like a fucking moron.

Why?
Because 100K seems like a lot of money to me? Hey man, I've been poor more or less my whole life and if that is something that is beyond you than I guess I am a moron.
To be frank, 86K even seems like a lot of money to me.

So be it. I'll gladly remember it when I'm writing law reviews that rock the socks off of the legal community and you are washing some cars.
6 figures in 6 years right? Sit back and let that ching roll in.

And if you really do make that, and I am wrong, I will admit it.
So post your check stub on the site and lets see the money.

What dude? How can I be Robert?
That is just dumb.
Why the fuck would I ask a question as random as what peoples takes on finite math are if I were Robert?

Doesn't that seem kind of stupid?

Come on you little fetal-alcohol fuck!
Throw something better than that at me!
Or has the e-machine (that's right, it's a proper noun but I'm not capitalizing the bitch because I don't agree with it's classification as being important in any matter, take that) warped your drug addled brain so much you can't even go after me?

Hold on man. Why do you use all caps anyway? Is it because what you have to say cannot be heard via grammatical norms and mores?
Fuck that.
