Luckily I left when I was offered a job that paid much better.

I can buy that figure in a big city, like NYC or San Francisco or LA, but not Smalltown, USA. But hey, who am I? I'm just a former employee. I don't know what the taxes are like where you are from. Times do change. Good luck regardless!
Don't know what to tell you. This wasn't something a recruiter told me. I accepted the position and I'm looking right at the paper in black and white. I'm required to sign it and the quoted figure is $911 bi-weekly and said I would get time and a half for every hour worked over 40 (figure for overtime is around $17.80 an hour).

Hey work me 55 hours a week. For those 15 extra I'll make $267.

that $911 biweekly is before taxes
figure after taxes and medical ins ($25 every pay period)
you're looking to take home around $650
with overtime, figure another few hundred dollars which will total up at around 900-950 after taxes every two weeks...argue with those that know if you like, but it is what it is.
gurantee that your peers are making more working less

I never said that was anything but my gross. Obviously the figure they quote me doesn't take them into effect as I have yet to fill out my W4.

Today I will start drinking water instead of diet coke. A friend of my lost 10 pound in two weeks. The salads and fruits they have at Wendy's are also good for lunch.
