| Hi Folks, This is the thread that I left specifically for my upper management on this as I know they read them- Enterprise is lucky to not have faced any more major legal backfire from employees than it has and my experiences have left me feeling very bitter about the company. Bear in mind I said MY experiences, some people get on very well and enjoy the work- fair enough and good luck to them but please read this and understand what you are potentially getting yourself into. Thanks -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Its time to end the argument once and for all.................. Getting out of Enterprise was the best thing I ever did....... And I have met many other ex employees who agree! I know there is a lot of postings, discussing the relevant merits of staying or leaving the company but let me say- IF YOU ARE DISGRUNTLED- USE THE TRANSFERABLE SKILLS YOU HAVE ACQUIRED WHILST WORKING FOR ENTERPRISE AND FIND A JOB THAT WILL A) PAY YOU A FAIR SALARY IN TODAYS ECONOMY (i.e. £300 bonus per stage is not in line with inflation with a basic below £16k) OR B) ALLOW YOU TO WORK REASONABLE HOURS OR C) REALLY CARE ABOUT THE WELFARE AND WORK/LIFE BALANCE OF ITS EMPLOYEES OR D) ACTUALLY TAKES ON BOARD EMPLOYEE FEEDBACK AND DOES SOMETHING ABOUT IT IT WAS THE BEST MOVE I EVER MADE, THE COMPANY I NOW WORK FOR IS IN THE TOP 5 LARGEST IN THE WORLD, PAYS ME A SALARY THAT IS £8k OVER AN MT'S (STAGE 4) SALARY AND THAT IS WITHOUT MY BONUS, BMW, ETC ETC THEY ARE ALSO VERY SERIOUS ABOUT WORK LIFE BALANCE - I COMMUTE FOR TWO HOURS TO GET TO THE TERRITORY THAT I WORK IN YET I STILL START AFTER ENTERPRISE EMPLOYEES AND FINISH BEFORE THEM ON A DAILY BASIS - AND EVEN CONSIDERING THIS COMMUTE I STILL WOULDN'T GIVE IT UP AS THE COMPANY PUTS ITS HAND IN ITS POCKET AND LOOKS AFTER ITS EMPLOYEES Now I know that the upper management in U8 look at these threads as I have overheard them talking about previous threads trying to work out who is who from the things that others have saiid that reveal information about them, like their religion! (SO HELLO EMMA BINNS ETC) What I would like to say is, yes working at Enterprise gave me the necessary skills/experience/CV to further my career in an excellent top ranking fmcg firm, but it is your responsibility as upper management to not just make commercial decisions, but to also safeguard the HR issues that arise every day- being an MT has changed since upper management worked in the branches so please find a list of common events that occured during my time with you (unlike most I was happy to work long hours, I knew the salary because I accepted the job with it and I knew that I would have to sell and wash cars but these following issues I found unacceptable as well as the grievance process that is in place). When I was an MT, I was swore at by my branch manager (very professional??), I was left to stand out in snowy and icy conditions instead of being allowed to take a taxi back to the branch, left in the rain delivering a car only to be picked up by two drivers sitting in a V1 and having to argue with the assistant manager about the duty of care implications of being told to get in the back, seeing colleagues who are 5 minutes late in the morning get a complete bollocking even though they consistently work over 6pm daily without thanks, being told that I wasn't allowed a lunch break as we were busy - I then involved HR who then sent a message to my branch manager who instead of resolving the issue with me was more interested in their appearance and promotability (like talking to a brick wall), being told I wasn't allowed to go marketing and then asked why I hadn't done any marketing (really good for growing the business believe me! not), the list goes on.................... I implore you please look at the reasons why the turnover of staff is huge and don't blame it on the size of the company, from my first day, experienced MT's and assistant managers were telling me how disgruntled and worthless they felt at the hands of U8! There you have it, one last thing, whenever I think I'm having a bad day I let myself drift back to MY personal experiences at Enterprise and remember what a really bad day is like!
