One thing you are forgetting, is that Scott made history in Tampa, he became an Area manager in THREE YEARS! He is obviously doing something right, maybe you should have tried to learn from him instead of pick him apart, maybe then YOU'D still be around! He can be straight forward, no doubt, but it's all business and when it comes to that, Hey, he gets it done! Outside of work he is pretty cool.

As for it being all business. An organization's greatest asset is its employees. Promoting one guy who can get it done sales wise doesn't even compare to the number of solid employees and potential leaders that same person alienates and pushes out the door. I don't know this Scott guy, but the other poster mentioned this guy's ineffective leadership ability and you counter with how quick he was promoted. Who cares if he got promoted in 3 years? The time it takes someone to land the promotion does not correlate with their ability to lead. Those two have nothing in common. Until Erac grasps this concept and stops basing promotion ONLY on sales and ass kissing ability, they will always promote poor leaders and allow good ones and potential great ones to slip through their fingers.

I have worked under sp in clearwater and he is the biggest prick. Not one person in his area likes him and thinks he buzz hair cut make him look like a dick

Well I never knew Enterprise to sell the fact that it's important for managers to be friends with their employees, how are his numbers as an area manager, if he's getting done, then he's good. It's all in the 154.

when i worked with scott pearson numbers suck, his area is last in income, occupancy, esqi and anything else you could think of. He even almost lost two huge accounts in autoway lincoln and lokey mercedes. I know both of the fix operations managers there and neither like his personality or his way of business. The only reason they stick with erac is because no other car company in the clearwater area could handle the volume and do whatever the dealership says even if it means giving away free rentals on a regular basis. so that number theory is out the question, the reason cliff likes him because scott sucks up to him.

His numbers suck not because of his employees but because of him talking on his cell all day and cheating on his wife. If he took time to actually know whats going on he wouldnt have the worst turnover and numbers in the area. What are you one of scott pearson erac boyfriends?
