It's June and this is the time when all the ERAC recruiters will be out in full force to sucker in a fresh crop. I also know a lot of you already have jobs with ERAC and will start the instant you get your diplomas. One piece of advice, don't work for ERAC. Find yourself a real job or if you can't get a real job yet, get one waiting tables or working at Home Depot because you'll have time to look for a real job and you'll get paid more than an ERAC employee.

Working at Home Depot would be just like working at ERAC. No, Home Depot always seems to have lumber in stock when I go there.

I worked there for five years in the Washington DC area. There are several things that I liked about the job, the friends I made, the money, and the experience. I left there two years ago and had no problem finding a job, the recruiters really liked the fact that I had worked for Enterprise. I will say that the green machine recruiters can be very misleading when talking to potential candidates, promising a land of milk and honey....JOKE! It is a tough job, very, very long hours, and very demanding. When it is all said and done at the end of the day you are viewed as an "expendable" asset by your managers. Everything has to be taken with a grain of salt. I strongly advise any potential recruits to visit a branch, talk to people that work there, and to be prepared for 60-70 hour weeks. It is the norm, forget going to the beach in the summer or on vacation, this is the busy season. Forget about seeing your friends or family during the week. In the office by 630-700 out by 700-730. It can begin to take over your life. I have since left, currently enrolled in Grad school, and working for a law firm. I have been "E" free for quite some time and loving it. Best of luck to those folks that choose to work for the green machine.

Can someone answer this for me. I have an interview tuesday in huntsville alabama, but i really need a job for a little while. Not a long term job just something to pay the bills for a while. How much do they usually pay. I had a customer svc job for 3 years do u think i will be hired??

Do you have any idea how this makes you look when you write something like this? 95% of the insulting done with your message was self-inflicted. The only thing you've persuaded us of is that you have no manners and have very little control over yourself.

Here's a serious invitation: Post again. Do your homework. Get your facts straight. Think clearly and then write clearly. Make an argument and persuade us. Redeem yourself.

I can....don't do it. Take your time and find a job that has to do with your major. Unless your major is sales and then you may want to hang out for awhile. I thought the same way you did and wound up being there for 5 years.

My advice to you..turn down the offer..then spend your grad money to have your resume professionally done, then get a head hunter, then grab a beer and head for the pool because the interviews should....start to pour in. Even if you don't take the majority of my advice....just DON'T take this job.

Get a life. Seems like every rebuttal to enterprise being bad...you take offense to it and your heart twists when you see that people actually enjoy working there. Like I said...use your time to go to the mall or go to the movies.....WAIT nevermind, your time is spent staring at the forums 24 7 to see how the posts are doing.

You've completely missed the point.

Go back and read it again. I welcome all opinions here, especially from people who disagree with me because then I'm even more likely to learn something.

I was commenting on someone who had lost control of themselves and was simply swearing away on the board.
