THose of you doing stupid shit during work and then wondering why Enterprise is awful place to work. Your doing it to yourself. Not everyone will get promoted but the opportunity is there, jsut like at any company. I just recently became a BM and the commission checks are different from month to month sometimes bigger sometimes smaller, but averaged annually its not bad.
Congrats! I, as I'm sure many others do, wish you luck. But don't act like it's all roses all the time. People need a place to vent and if this does it for them, let it happen. You don't have to sign on.

I'm just simply stating... if you guys have it so rough and hate your life, then quit.
So things dont go your way, so people get transfered around, so these things happen. It might suck, and hell it probably does. But do something about it instead of just whining is all I'm saying.
Coming on the internet and telling everyone all the shitty things that happen/ed in your time at ERAC, doesn't help you with your future. It limits it.
You say these things as if we spend entire days foaming at the mouth, waiting to jump at every opportunity to bash an ex-employer. Like most people registered here, this just happens to be one of the several websites I go to throughout the work day to kill time (that's right, my new job, while in outside sales, allows me to spend as much time "inside" doing whatever I feel like). Furthermore, there's an element to being a former rental monkey that is somewhat akin to local veterans hanging out at the VFW; while certainly not like experiencing war, we all had and share similar stories and experiences, and get a kick telling and reading of them. This website takes up such a small fraction of my life; an enjoyable one, but a very, VERY small one nonetheless.

I and most of us have already "done something", and it's for the better. Posting on this site does not "limit" our future, it allows us to look back on a very non-humorous part of our lives in a more "hilarious" fashion, that's all. I don't think you're trying on purpose to pick a fight or side with ERAC to annoy us or anything, but you've pegged us (or the vast majority of us, at least) wrong.

Oh car prep girl.....what a fuckin title right....I personally never saw one girl as a car prep so this must mean you are truly pathetic.... You know illegal immigrants around the corner at the local car wash make more money than you right? But knocking people on this site as a car prep......intriguing to say the least.

Every single car prep I have ever seen were Mexican males and most of them were illegal immigrants. Maybe it's different elsewhere outside of California, but it's pretty intriguing, as the erudite said it, to hear about a girl being conceited when she's a car washer / taxi driver.

I did quit after working 2 and 1/2 months there. The original plan was to quit after Christmas and New Years, but I couldn't take it anymore and quit a month ahead. Now I'm doing just fine working only 35 hours a week making 62k.

Most of the people here aren't here whining. It is because ERAC is an unethical place to work where the upper level management looks to work you to the bone, not giving you adequate lunch time, overpromising and underdelivering your career at ERAC. I'm definitely not stating that most of the people here deserve a better job than ERAC with their low GPAs and general studies or communications majors. The harsh truth is that most of us are or were in this predicament is mainly because of our faults. With the current economy doing so bad, it doesn't help either.

It's not about being conceited. It's about understand. I know that I'm the bitch around there. I don't have a problem with it. Like I said... It's nothing I intend to make a career out of.
I was simply making a statement, and after some people with respect for others have responded and made it easier for me to understand why everyone on here does nothing but talk bad about the company.
I'm not trying to defend ERAC, I've seen some of the employees sweat and work their 60 hours a week, and get paid shit for it.
BUT, I've also seen people being praised and appreciated. I've seen people being rewarded for a job well done. I've seen people being sent home early for personal reasons. I've seen alot of things that alot of you insist don't occur.
When I signed on as a WHITE LEGAL CANADIAN CITIZEN... to work as a car prep, like ALL of the car preps in my region, I knew what my job would entail and until this point, that is ALL it has entailed. I've never been asked to do anything outside of that.
I can honestly say that so much of the stuff you guys talk about regarding the treatment of the employees doesn't occur at my branch.
I mean, the lies and the things that are told to customers and such are the same, and I understand how that could be a breaking point for some people.

But, attacking the fact that you have "immigrant mexicans" and such, and that I'm pathetic for the job that I have... show how pathetic SOME of you really are.

No worries. Alot of these fuckers on here would never understand what you are trying to articulate since alot of them would sell their souls for political correctness.

I think the problem here is your double talk mixed with your complete lack of understanding. You say you're not here to defend eskank, yet the majority of your post overwhelmingly supports the company. I could go tit for tat on each one of your sideline observations, but view it as pointless since you have failed to walk one step in the shoes of an MT and thus, have no real perspective to respect or challenge. But being the charitable person I am, I will give you some insight on what you can expect as a fresh female MT. 1.) If you're not an alcoholic you will become one.2.) Once you are an eprise alcoholic you will begin your moral downward spiral by fuking and sucking your way to the top or maybe fuking just for the fuck of it cuz your wasted every night and have no time to look for outside cok (not a bad thing for male MTs as well as BMs Area managers and just about anyone else that wants to tap) 2.) If you like spending time with friends and family-well lets just say fuk'em-eprise is more important.3.) If you look good now-dont worry-in 6 months you will look like a smoked out raccoon with your two black eyes. 4.) Your savings account...oh my bad...what fucking savings account? Your living paycheck to paycheck baby!
Of course there are always exceptions to the rule and maybe just maybe you could be that exception!!.....But in the meantime, go spitshine my malibu like a good lil girl:) Oh and if you didnt like how I talked to you because you're a girl....well lets just say get used to it because angry customers and perv managers will give you alot worse than I gave you....Oh say it aint so!! And yes, you say you dont want to make it a career but since you have such a glowing perception of eprise I thought I would just go ahead and throw out some realistic situations for you.....

Seriously.... wow... 1,2,2,3,4?
Do you want me to take a picture of the people I work with? Gorgeous ladies and very good looking men. Sure long days... They come in a 7:15 every morning, but surprise, get their work done and are all leaving the office by 6:30.. 7 at the VERY latest.
And yes, we drink a fair amount, and I might even suggest that 2 of the MT's I work with might actually be alcoholics. But that leaves 5 other people in the office who can handle themselves.
Like I said.. I honestly don't beleive that ERAC is the best job in the world, and I don't intend on working there past August of this year when I get my diploma and move on in life. However, it's not always the company, but the poeple in it.
I beleive that you guys had a shitty time, and I wouldnt want to walk 2 steps in your shoes, let alone a mile, and some of the MT's in our office are pissy and hate every moment of their jobs. But some of them are happy and love what they do, isn't that their right?
Our BM is a great guy, and he's very easy going, and our area manager is amazing as well. He's always looking to help everyone out, and when he comes to our branch, he always makes sure he says hi to everyone and talks to them for a bit about anything they have concerns about.
So, maybe the area that I work in is one in a million.
