Default Erac is a Great Place to Work

Honestly, for those of you who are quitting, just quit. Erac is a great place to work where you are constantly challenged and able to be put in a place of advancement. The hours are long and at times the customers are tough to deal with. A lot of you think upper management sucks, but look at your own attitudes. THose of you doing stupid shit during work and then wondering why Enterprise is awful place to work. Your doing it to yourself. Not everyone will get promoted but the opportunity is there, jsut like at any company. I just recently became a BM and the commission checks are different from month to month sometimes bigger sometimes smaller, but averaged annually its not bad.

What does it average out annually?

Seriously...kiss my ass.

Constantly challenged?? Yea, if you mean not putting a bullet through your head before you go to work.

The phrase "It's your Enterprise" is a joke and a half. You are so micro managed, it's sick. You do one bad thing, your AM/BM/Area Manager/RRM all ask you the same thing. It's like a scene from Office Space, except he doesn't have to wash cars in the dead of winter or in 100 degree heat.

You are paid minimum wage, salaries are pretty much non-guaranteed at any level and you work more hours than anyone on this planet. Define "not that bad." Wait, I will..."Hell, I worked my ass off for four years and this is what Branch Managers actually make? I was lied to everyday." Am I close?

Please tell me, what satisfaction do you get when you leave that job? What does ERAC do for you that no other company can provide? Don't say the following...
--company car (technically, you pay for that and you are only supposed to take up to a mid-size car home)
--money (because we all know that is a joke)
--running your own business (everyone does the same thing, everyone runs on the same guidelines, there really isn't anything that separates you from other branches)
--benefits (no advantage to anyone, you are lucky that it is offered)
--bonuses (ERAC cooler does not justify a great bonus)

Please, humor me, become the recruiting department and convince someone why they should choose Enterprise as their career than let's say a salesman at Best Buy (at least Best Buy, you get a great discount).

Why am I like this? Because I hope that one day, a college graduate who is thinking about working here, reads my posts and chooses another job. If I can help just one person, it will be all worth it.

Your ridiculous... What did you truly expect when you signed on with a RETAIL company? Retail isnt for everyone, and it isn't what I always envisioned myself doing either. Personally just started with it and decided to make the best of things. My salary isn't out of the roof, nor are my commission checks out of this world, but its not bad for me being with the company for two years. In a lot of retail stores management pay is around $12 to 18 an hour. I know i know... the job you have now is about 10 x that amount. Well, not everyone is as lucky as you. And in the meantime, Enterprise is not as awful as you make it.

Once again... in retail a lot of shitty experiences happen. With enterprise it happens because of pick ups, repos, and customer service. THat problem is not the company's fault, it is trying to fulfill a need and sometimes the company's policy is taken advantage of by negligent people. its fine that you bash the company, i dont disagree with everything you say, but the way you do it wont deter anyone. State out reasons and explain it.. expletives and insults are not the right responses.

The reason that most of the people in here hate Enterprise is because of the constant lies and practices. Enterprise will take advantage of young people promising them the world but at the end they are just taking advantage of them. You want us to compare Enterprise with other retail companies but, at the end of the day the other companies will pay the same and you don't have to wash cars in your business suit in hot or cold weather and work 55- 60 hrs to barely have enough to pay your bills.

Lies, lies and more lies, Your quote: "What did you truly expect when you signed on with a RETAIL company? An honest company that rewarded hard work and treats their employees like humans. In Enterprise you can be the hardest working employee, give a 110% each day but if you don't sell their insurance you wont get promoted. The people that cheat and take advantage of old and ignorant people are the ones that get promoted. The people that sleep with their bosses are the ones that get promoted.

Please don't come here and defend this company.

the fact of the matter is this, no way should a person be subjected to the daily abuses that one receives at ERAC, from customers, body shops, and upper management. The management constantly hangs you out to dry by taking your cars, not getting you cars, booking deals when you don't have the needed specialty car. Upper management will give the bank to a customer and then yell at you when your bad debt is too high. Why? It's not your fault that the mini van you told your ARM you needed wasn't there. Now you have to write off an entire rental and then you get bagged. Really running your own business. If it were my business I'd tell those customers to go fuck themselves!

There's customer service and then there's treating people how they deserve to be treated. And many times Enterprise customers really do deserve to be told to go fuck themselves.

So very true. Customer service is being respectful and trying to solve problems or even perform damage control. However, it does not mean you subject yourself to abuse from customers while the manager sits and smirks or joins in and tag teams you with the customer.

All companies have their politics and all retail companies have certain issues but what goes on at enterprise is above and beyond anything I have ever seen or heard. Its like rush week for the fraternity but its all the damn time.
