When you signed up to be a car prep what were the duties on your responsibilities.

I don't think asking you to go to the bank and make a deposit is hard work. I loved doing it. that was 15 minutes out of the office.

I cleaned my branch just as much as my car prep did. If the MTs are goofin off all the time , that's great, they'll be MTs for years.

Personally I can't imagine many people happy with their career as a car prep. Find something better

You know; as a big fan of this site, I do so enjoy reading all the posts from all the employees who are pissed or otherwise have a grudge against erac.
I have noticed one thing about some, I SAID SOME, of you. You gripe, bitch moan and complain about how bad you have it. Bad hours, bad pay, and heaven forbid........bad treatment. BUT>>
I do know what a car prep has to go through with erac. YOU sit in the ac, THEY work in 100 deg heat in the summer and single digit in the winter. YOU get to expense lunch now and again, THEY get to eat a sandwitch and a warm coke because they get paid shit. YOU are upwardly mobile with the company, THEY will never be treated like a human.
You bitch about "My degree this, and My degree that" ALL THE TIME., But..when a car prep seems unhappy about being shit under foot, all some of you do is start that sad old, "Get an education" shit......Do you hear yourself? Talk about brainwashed. Put your self in their shoes for once. Not all of them are pot heads, and burnouts. I always defend car preps, in Vegas they were always older gentlemen, retired guys who did it for pocket money/get out of the house/extra gambling money. The preps I worked with didn't take shit from anyone and even though they were paid $7 an hour, upper mgt. knew they valuable and didn't try to fuck with them. I am in total favor of car preps fucking shit up if they are done wrong by someone or talked down to by an e-chimp.

I am a car prep, and have been for about 6 months now. I was handed the job and took it.

I'm also a full-time college student (out for summer) transferring to a good University in the fall.

I love the job.

I only work ~24 hours a week, get paid $10/hr (more than MT's hourly), and work with fun people.

The whole office respects me, and we have a lot of fun. This is most likely because I am not the typical stoner prep who can't walk and chew gum at the same time.

Your VERY lucky. Our preps get 8.50 and hour and all the abuse they can take.

I waiting for someone to piss off the wrong prep. These gents (and ladies) see all and hear all. One day one of them is going to get mad and start talking to HR about who is a stoner, who is doing who, who drinks at lunch, and other stupid and sometimes unlawful things. A couple of our preps could (if they wanted to) say a few choice phrases to HR and the the local PD, and start a world of problems for a LOT of people.
