Only way to get the employees to stay sane and keep coming back.

As a pervious employee of Enterprise and a present employee at Hertz, I can assure anyone that not only is Hertz a better brand of car, but also a better compant to work for. The salary is way better, benefits are better and Hertz treats it's empolyees as people and equals. Unlike Enterprise who treats their employees as slaves, pay them nothing and other employees are gratiously willing to stab their co-workers in the back for a promotion. On the customer stand point - yes Enterprise has a little bit cheaper daily rates BUT their fleet of cars are cheap, dirty, unsafe cars. They litterally prosecute customers for tiny tiny scratches and dents - basically they will charge you if a bird craps on the car. Also they are pushy, shove-it-down-your-throat, slimy sales people. As an employee if you don't sell, you don't have a job. I would never ever recomment working for Enterprise to anyone.

As an employee of another rental company and friend of former and current employees of ERAC, I see ERAC employees as the same as the employees for my company...in the beginning. Unfortunately, they are trained to do things in a way, I feel, is borderline unethical and just plain shady tactics. That is how you move up in their company. I have worked for a different rental car company for 10 years and I do have a Bachelor's degree, by the way. I do not put my job on the scale of flipping burgers! I live a comfortable lifestyle, get free gas, drive a new car every day and have the piece of mind that it won't break down on me. I have known ERAC employees, talked to vendors, prior customers, and rented from them myself. The company I work for is highly focused on customer service which is why they offer so many options in cars. That is what customer's want. I am proud to work for a company that doesn't make people feel like shit when they leave the office. Yes, ERAC is huge in the local market, but that just means they have nowhere to go but down.

Apparently, from reading for the last bit... I hear about not being fired for being the week/weak assholes... or, lack of work... or, the rest (ethically wrong..., as though the posters have ethics considering they are posting internal acronyms, strategy and logistics.) You work hard and you don't like getting dirty. Get a B.S. or B.A. in whatever specialization and teach... apparently, we are looking at people who don't need to worry about intelligence. So, try being intelligent and getting into the place without the work expected. Go into R&D, Teaching, Being-Successful, Government, whatever you think is prime or Rock-Stars! How 'bout you just work and learn? The same reason this would be good on a resume after (I bet with not will will work) a BA or BS is the same reason McDonalds is good for High School grads on a CA/Resume. Quit thinking your worthy of better than you set yourselves. From the Asshole that won't apply because I will have to deal with you... suckas will complain on the way out but Assholes will complain afterwords. To Assholes.
