I went to work as an Assistant Body Shop manager for a dealership that went under 6 months after I left ERAC. I found a new job....doing what else....renting cars!! At a dealer. I make more than most Area Managers at ERAC. I can't complain. I still work the 50+ hours a week....am on call if a customer needs me, etc. We have the largest privately held dealer fleet in our state (obviously ERAC has more...but I'm not counting them!!) I rent about 185 cars with just me, a porter and a shuttle driver, and I am 10 times faster than 3 ERAC employees working together to get a customer going. My average wait time for a customer from the time they walk in the door to the time they are driving away is about 5 minutes. I don't have to worry about whether or not my AM and RVP like me so that I can get promoted. I know that I'm not going anywhere higher up here at the dealership, and when the raises and perks quit coming I will find something else. I've been here for almost 5 years!!!!!!

I work for the newspaper in my city. I'm not going to lie and say I'm making "big bucks" but I do clear about 50K a year and enjoy 40 hour work weeks. Sometimes I work less than 40 hours. I have to say that my enjoyment and quality of life has increased ten fold. Since I was only an assistant mgr of a smaller branch at erac- I also took about a 13K year raise when I left. My job is fun and there isn't ANYTHING anyone could ever say to convince me I made the wrong decision in leaving... It is the best move I ever made and I would highly encourage anyone who is thinking about it to seriously find another job...you won't believe what a difference in your personal happiness it makes!

I'm a high school teacher. Again, I don't make "big bucks", but it's more than I made when I left ERAC, plus you can't beat the hours or the vacation time.

I started working for an insurance company as an adjustor, not making a ton of money but making about 10k/yr more. its not always about the money its about the deception and lies w/in the company. I saw so many people grill early because they were liked more not because of performance. I lost a lot of respect with upper management because they didnt practice what they preached. I didnt want to work for a company like that. It gets tiring hearing about all these people makikng 90-100k in sales jobs and saying they work a 40hr work week. Not in all cases but many that is probably what they told they CAN make and not what they actually are. But then again its not always about the money, its about being happy at your job and knowing you dont have to kiss ass to move up

I should start a pop a lock business, I can get into just about anything after working at ERAC airport when the preps would lock keys in cars

okay, so what you want to know is there anyone who pays more than ERAC. Survey says, YES! I made 80K with ERAC and already have made more with another company. I know of a few EX-ERAC'ers who make more than I do. In order to keep it simple, I will just say that ERAC pays well.If you don't do the simple math of 100% of your time equals to 70% of what they pay you. I had been with ERAC for a long time and probably did someone's pay plan that you know. I will say that now I couldn't stomach it, but of course I did. I wish you the best of luck and hope you never have to convince someone that it is okay to interview for a position, but never know what it pays...How ridiculous?

What drew you to Enterprise in the first place? Did you like the company at first or were you looking to make a quick buck? Thats great you have a new job, but why go to a website and complain? Build a bridge and get over it. |

Since then, I've had a few jobs. Some good, some bad, but none of them touched ERAC in terms of my personal hell. For the past 25 months I've been working in capital leasing. Been doing pretty well now. I just bought a condo in Mission Viejo. No way could I afford that @ ERAC. I only work from 7:30-4 PM, I leave around 3 PM on Fridays. I never work any weekends. So my company doesn't pay for my booze much. But at least I can booze with my friends. |

Its been almost four years since I left Enterprise Rent-a-Car. I worked there for approximately 2 years--only because I couldn't find anything better in that time period. Today, I work for Ecolab, a chemical company in the hospitality industry. I have doubled my salary and my quality of life is much better than before. Things aren't perfect, but much better

Dear unregistered erac employee......if you only knew. I am not one of those ERAC employees who leaves the company to be a loan shark, or an insurance salesman or adjuster. I actually think I may have the best job in the world. I tripled what I made the year I left ERAC. Right now, I am sitting in my office (at home.) Its Friday, almost 3, and you are about to get your %$@! handed to you. I am about to get on a conference call that should last about 30 minutes, then, its time for a nice, relaxing weekend. I will sleep tomorrow till about 10. Oh, do you have to work? I haven't worked on a Saturday at my job......EVER!! Two days ago I was eating a nice dinner in New York (I live in Florida) with one of my customers (on the company.) Enterprise treated me to pizza while we had to have eat in lunches. I can recall not even tasting the cold pizza I was eating because there where customers in my face I had to tend to. Life is better after ERAC trust me!!! You are just still brain washed, but when you leave you will understand.
