Left the company on August 28, 2004 at 11:44 am (no reason to keep the branch open till close). Worked at that joke of a job for 2 1/2 years.

I'm not so much bitter as I am disappointed. For the most part, I enjoyed my job. The downside, of course, is that I worked for ERAC.
Same here friend .... working up north in rental branches was pretty good ... I had friends there, besides the low lives ERAC is infested with ... "disappointed" ? yes !!! After I transferred and worked at a major US airport afterwards .. it was downhill picking up speed from day one. I've been out over 3 months now and my year with ERAC is all but a blur ....

I still would like to know some AA entries in RALPH to see what a branch is sitting on. Also, why are some contracts not closed out on the 2 o'clock report. Can someone tell me this ? Thank you.

2:00pm is when they check the occupancy for all the branches. If a car is on rent at that time, it does not show up on the count. If the car is sitting on the lot, it shows up on the count. If there is a car sitting on your lot (a customer returns it prior to 2pm) that you don't want to show on the count, you wait until after 2pm to close the contract. That practice is very common. I hated it when managers did that.

It's so common, everyone knows how to manipulate it, it makes me wonder why even bother with a 2 o'clock count. Who gives a shit?

Exactly. Why count something if everyone is hiding half of what you are counting?

It's just another unexplainable phenomenon of this company.

I appreciate all the responses but does anyone know the entries in Ralph and update codes ? That's all I'm asking. This information would NOT be given out to customers.

It's been awhile. I was there from May of 1994 through the end of June 1994. It was without a doubt the worst experience of my life. I don't know how anyone, except maybe the Taylor Family, could survive working there. I should have gotten a clue about how demanding the job was when during the interview I was told that there was over 50% turnover within a 12 month period. Looking back that figure had to have been higher....
