summer days!

Do you remember sweating in your shirt and tie while all your friends with good jobs either used a personal or vaca day to hit the beach, or it was a holiday most people had off that you didnt? I remember the days when kids from umass amherst came to rent a car and hit the beach. I was very jealous. Now that I have a REAL job with REAL days off I hit the beach quite often. And we get every holiday under the sun off!

I feel bad for the e-monkeys suffering. Its been hot in the north east.
Anyone have similar memories?

I hated the yellow armpit stains, they were like a badge of courage though.

Happy Independence day to you all! I'll raise my glass tomorrow poolside to all the poor airport working e-chimps. While you're sweating it out, busting your nuts, the rest of us will be observing our country's birthday relaxing with a cool beverage. How about the dark ring around the collar, that's how I would ruin all of my shirts. After a while you couldn't wash that out, I would have bought new ones but couldn't afford it.

I worked off-airport but it was only a couple miles from it, so many vacationers would just taxi in from the airport and pick up a car from us. As a result seeing all these people in ugly ass hawaiian shirts made me feel so shitty since I wouldn't be able to take such a break myself.

As far as the nice summer days go, yeah I'd have friends with better jobs take random days off all the time and call me to entice me into doing the same, and constantly having to turn them down would piss me off. The most fun I could have during the summer when on the clock was to volunteer to man our satellite location at the dealership and join in with the service writers and drool at the eye candy who'd pull into the service bays.
