Default Why I left...all true

I started in 1991. Worked my way up to Branch Manager. I bled GREEN. I decided to move to Canada when ERAC opened there in 1994. Spent 6 years away from home, country, family and friends to build ERAC's business in a new country (not an easy task). Very little money, no commisions because we were not profitable yet.

Incredibly long hours and no real support system for me personally was very tough but I thought it would pay off for me eventually. In 2000 I met the woman of my dreams and decided to get married. Because her job was in the medical field, she could not move to Canada (socialized medicine, no money).

I asked my bosses to help me get transferred back to the States. I was now an Area Manager with nearly 10 years experience and a world of fleet growth and training experience. You know what they did for me after all that I sacrificed for them??? Drum Roll Please!!!!!!!

I was offered a Management Assistant Job in the Group where my fiance lived. No company car no assistance at all...final offer. I wasn't a God, I was a good, loyal employee who wanted to be an ERAC lifer. I still am sorry that they were not more sensitive to my situation.

My apologies for any errors in grammer or spelling.

By the way we did get married, are still married and no matter how many regrets I have over the ERAC situation, I would not change a thing. She is the greatest.

i would say kudos! except you said you met her while you were already in Canada and that she wouldnt move to Canada because of their (i have to admit) great health care system, and that she would make no money.

So wait where was this girl from? And how did you meet her if you were already in Canada and since she wouldnt move to Canada she must not be from there.

Im not poking holes in your story just for fun, but too many posters on here are full of shit and just lie to make hate for Enterprise.

i dont bleed Green but i cant respect bullshit

I met her through a friend of mine on a trip back home to the States. Even though I lived in Canada, I still got vacation and occasionally got to go home.

I will also say that Canada's health system is great, expensive tax-wise, but great. She happens to be in health care management and it simply would not have made sense for her to move to Canada the pay-cut she would have taken would have been too much.

Listen, I don't hate ERAC, I had many good years there. I only wish they would have made it possible for a guy who sacrificed and moved to a foreign country for six years to be able to get back to the States when I needed to start my family.

Your thoughts?????

Gosh, you seem like a sweet guy. I’ been reading this and crying for quite awhile because maybe I wish I had a husband that loves me that way too. No regrets, just a family for me sounds like a great plan.

It is a great plan and when it is right you will do what you have to to make it happen. In my case I left the career I spent nearly a decade building. While some people would be bitter ( I know I was for a while) I have gone on and have been happy.

Keep looking forward for what you want and you will find it.
