We have all been feed the same crap when it comes to ERAC lies, here are some I could think of... At the callback for the Final Intervew/Job offer: The Lie: "Remember that person in the blue blazer who was in the waiting room with you, well they didn't get the job, we liked you, congragulations!" The Reality: "Remember that person in the blue blazer who was in the waiting room with you, well they actually found a much better job and denied our offer. We were going to hire both of you but it turns out only your gettting hired today. Congragulations!" The First Interview: The Lie "You will make anywhere form 30-35k your first year, judging from your enthusiasm I'd bet you will be closer to the 35k." The Reality: "You will get paid 10.5 an hour and work overtime, you will make about 25k, that is unless you get a car sale refferal that actually turns into a sale or refer a friend to work here at ERAC." The Lie you Must say when all you have is SUV to rent The Lie "Well your car will be here shortly, but I can get you into this Exploerer for $85/day...75/day...65/day. Okay I think I can get you the same rate as the Economy size car if you can't afford anything else." The Reality: "We doubled booked our reservations and we do not have any cars, you are lucky to get this one so I will try to rent it to you for its usual price but I am allowed to give it to you at a reduced rate since we scerwed you over." When your AM is talking about the great opportunities The Lie "Ya I started much like you, then worked my way up to AM in a few years and I am pulling in 200k. It's totally worth it, and soon I will be be RRM and be making the big bucks. Lets go have a beer and some jalapeno poppers, on me dude!" The Reality "7 Years ago I was like you and making crap money, my gf left me and I only had time to hang out with other ERAC employees, thats why they are all my friends. I really don't make 200k, thats because my comission is taxed to shit, I just tell you that to give you some hope and my retention rate stays high. I still work more hours than most executives or business managers, probably more hours than you. I gained a lot of weight and live in a condo with my brother. If you think you are going to move up in this company, get ready to move from city to city because you never stay in one spot. Oh and by the way, come to the bar with me, I am lonely and I need to get drunk. I will probably go home tonight and whack it to that new female MT we just hired. Someone has just quit and the ERAC Employees disagree The Lie: "I guess he just couldn't hack it, he probably wont get a good job and wish he could come back. I heard that he cheated on his gf and thinks all of us are idiots. I am glad he is gone." The Reality: "Well he found a better job and now has more time for a social life and with his gf. He will definately get paid more and one thing is for sure, we are jealous that he had the guts to quit to find a better life and we are stuck here." Any more lies to share?

for a company that prides itself, indeed promotes its staff on, quality customer service, i think the worst lie, told every single day in countless branches, is 'yes, we can get you a car.' they result? the customer get's a car they didn't want, or the customer gets the car they want but it cost someone who works for enterprise his entire evening. i'm all for customer service, but sometimes at enterprise you just feel like the company are taking the piss. one of the very worst things about working at enterprise is the constant stream of people who've been badly let down by the company.

compromising your integrity was never mentioned to me as a requirement to get promoted. moving all over the Lord's Creation was somewhat, but I didn't want to. Oh bother... __________________ "Winning does miraculous things. Its an elixir beyond belief."- Bobby Knight

I had a manager say that he had the compact car that I reserved but the previous customer had dropped a donut on the upholstery on the passenger side. (This helps illustrate how bad the culture is in this company. Tell a lie and blame it on another customer. That is OK. Even though we want customers and we want them to spend their money here, it is OK to tell a really poor lie and blame something on another customer.) I told him I wanted to see the donut and walked out onto the lot towards the car (that I had reserved). I told him that I he was lying. I've never seen anyone move so fast. He chased me out on the lot. I looked in that car. There was no donut. There was no stain. Cheesy liar. I told him to his face he was a liar then I walked off their lot. I'll never go back.
