Default Wake Up Uk

I'm an mt in u6 and from what i can see and have heard from other uk branches i speak to there are no happy people anywhere in the uk. I have heard that good managers are leaving the south of our group and there are no assistants to fill there places due to skill shortage. This leaves me thinking what a great move i made joining erac. Do you just quit after 1 -2 yers or do you see through the brain wash.

Why cant js,gh,ps organize a commision for all mt's that sell dw etc. I am sure this will help retention

As for me i will give it until october (i hear we get some cars to rent by then rather than chasing every customer to return early so we can re rent their car) and review the situation.

speak to some of you soon (we will need cars this week for those 1 hour no turn down corporate customers)

Just get out - there are far more jobs paying better money for less hours out there despite what your lying cheating area managers say.

AND you don't have to lie to customers!!!

Lie to customers?, When do we do that?, Oh forgot!, we start with the reservation confirmation call and go on from there. Not to mention when we check the car in and find that dent that has been there for weeks and blame them as the guy that checked it out missed it. I am so proud of my job! lol!

Default Few unethical people on here....

You charge a customer for a dent that you know has been there for weeks? Why would you do this? Probably says more about your personal morals than anything else. The company cannot force you to do this - if your manager does jsut refuse - he cannot sack you for it - if he pushes the issue go to your area manager. Damage does get missed on check out - but there are 2 people checking out a car. As a back up, you can check the 701 screen - I`ve had that happen numerous times - seen some damage, had the customer agree it looks fresh - go to write the accident report and see it is already documented. Don`t charge the customer - simple! As for the reservation bit - try calling the customer if you know you don`t have a car - its not pleasant but its a damn site easier than having them in the office with no car. This company has a lot of problems that are linked to retention - namely hours, pay, lack of support from upper management ans seeing everyone else quit which lowers morale further. By all means bitch about those or look for another job - but what is the point coming on here and complaining that YOU fell bad when YOU decide to take money from a customer when YOU know the damage was pre-existing?

Default What are you on about ???

I think you are missing the point completely here mate and shouldnt be on this website. You obviously work in Loss Control and do nothing all day but smoke B&H whilst playing with your privates.....

The point is the poor lad feels bad because this company is f*cking awful !!!
We lie to customers all the time about deliveries, damage, and size of cars.... It makes employees feel badf and its simply shocking....

My advice to the fella who originally wrote the first email is to get out and get out FAST !!! ERAC is a joke mate and believe me it dos not get any better regardless of what position you get too (believe me I know - ex AM)

The day you are in another job enjoying life again is the day you will come back to this web site and slag Enterprise off to all current employees. Americans will never have a clue how to run a company in Britain !!! Just take a look at their leader for f*ck sake !!!

Actually I don`t work in loss control, I`m a branch manager (with abd unisured losses it has to be said!) - my point is if i saw damage that wasn`t on the checkout and knew it was pre existing , i would not bring it up with the customer. for the record I am looking for another job - all i was trying to say was nobody can force you to be that unethical - just say no - and challeneg anyone who tells you otherwise. This could explain why i want out to be fair, but I refuse to do things that my consicence will not allow me, and i don`t want my satff doing any different.
