Default Some Advice Please

Hi all,
I am a newbie and about to start (perhaps) with ERAC.

1. Can somebody tell me what the locations you all refer to are (ie U1, U6 etc).

2. Didn't you know that you would have to wash cars before you took a job, and is washing a car that bad?

3. How can you ALL work 60+ hours a week...i understand ou may get a callout @5.59 but everyday or similar?

4. Other than hours of work/washing motors and pay what is next worst thing about ERAC?

5. And finally regards pay i hear that 15k is starting and AM is 17.2k+comm BM 20k+. What sort of money would an AM/BM get with 100 unit branch? (b4 tax)

Do not do it. It is that simple. Millions have done it already and are working with other companies now. There is meaning to ERAC's motto..."our door is always open" It has to be open in order for ERAC to keep getting enough naive college students who haven't done enough research for other jobs. Do not waste your time and try something else. Take it from a many year upper mgt ERAC employee

U1 isnt making money. Most of the managers are on payback (where ERAC stops money out of your commission cheques - if you ever cet them).

This company is shit don't join!!!

If it was the odd car then that would be fine but its not.I worked in the US and UK and I washed on average about 15 cars a day minimum...To answer the guys question though I would say the worst thing about working at erac is realising a few days in that you were conned and they actually wont train you to do anything outside of renting rigs!

I dont wanna give my location away @ the mo. You don't know who reads this forum...lol ( already paranoid), suffice to say it's nearer leeds/liverpool than southampton or exeter.
I am prepared to work @ the job and i will start with the usual enthusiasm that you have, but i do take on board your comments, although i can see that many of the staff are either seriously hacked off or have been given false promise.
I don't like the sound of this payback commission, how does that work..?? i presume that you are paid in advance for cars and can never recoup your commission??? what happens when you leave? do they have any 'legal' on you or is it just a case of lost paycheck?
any comments welcome. and can someone tell me what U1 or U6 is etc?

thanks

also Is it constant lies to customers regards cars or is this in SOME areas only?

After about 12 months of doing 60 hour weeks cleaning cars in your suit and taking constant abuse from RBS & NU customers about the type of car you gave them you should get to assistant manager. At this point you might get commision if your branch makes operating profit. If it makes a net loss you then owe the company money from your next commision, if you ever make it.

Give it a try, you can only quit.

And how can you do 60 hour weeks as far as i'm aware business hours are m-f 8-6 = 10 hrs day =50 hrs and then sat am 3/4 hrs. Max 53 hrs 1 week and you are given pm off if sat worked so take off 3 hrs =50 hrs. There would have to be several calls @5.50 for 10 hrs to be made up...or am i missing something?

Cheers...:)
