Default Relationship breakdowns due to ERAC

I wonder how many employees have suffered personal relationship problems due to the ERAC culture ?

You may be thinking, well just get the hell out, but when you have major commitments its hard to, yes you would probaly get a new job straight away, but its that turning post you have to over come.

I personaly suffered, after my first 6 months with ERAC my relationship with my partner of 2 years started to breakdown, untill it did.

During my last 12 months with ERAC i have seen at least 7 fellow employees go through relationship breakdowns.

My advice is get out while you can and do not even become an ERAC employee.

Now that depends on if you say the relationships breakdown due to the hours or due to shag fests at erac nights out. I`ve seen a couple of people hook up on nights out, but it would be unfair to blame that on ERAC - it could just as easily happen at any other company. As for the hours - yes they can place a strain on things, but there is always that quit option. Don`t get me wrong, I`m not a bought in ERAC er, and there is a lot wrong with this company. Orlando is great and all very impressive, but the money spent hosting it would be better off in pay packets, but divide that money across the company and it wouldn`t be a huge improvement. I think a lot of the GM`s are okay, granted a lot arent from the posts on here, but at the end of the day, the enterprise values don`t translate when matched up against pay packets, and that is the fundamental problem. As a branch manager would you rather see a 95% esqi or a large commission cheque? No contest really si it? I know the 2 are supposed to be interlinked (great customer service= returning customers= bigger fleet = more way to spread costs = more profit), but the reality is RBS contracts = fcuk all chance of making money for the vast majority of branches = managers taking home less than trainees (once overtime, bonuses and company car tax are taken into consideration) = heat on managers = demotivated managers = demotivated office teams= drop in esqi. You can balme ERAC for that, the breakdown in relationships I think is probably something that could well have happened anyway, but ERAC hastens it. ERAc isn`t the devil, but it certainly isn`t perfect. Now if you are going to reply to this, think through the points raised, dont be a blind green blooder or erac basher.

You make a very solid statement based on the foundational truth that ERAC encouragess these behaviors. But this in turn causes many people to become "erac bashers" (as you put it). It is not that they think ERAC is an outright cultprit of the behavior taking place in many branches and groups - saying so would eliminate all personal responsiblity that each employee has to oneself and others. But that ERAC creates an environment that can encourage such a behavior. And, of course, this is where the hate and blame of ERAC comes into play. The bashers don't think ERAC does this directly - though their comments, which are based on emotional discontent, may seem to display it that way. The basher's simply are crying foul over the environent ERAC encourages and promotes.

How about a married Assistant Manager being told he would not make Manager as 'it is a single man's job"?
