Which do think it most looked like? i personally think it had the shape of a melon but with the features, squashed nose etc, it turned more into a cabbage. despite the shape of his head, i did think that leylend knew the score about brendan keane being a total dickhead and all that but was unable to do anything about it. Rumour had it that brendan is protected in some way through a family connection to the taylors. can anyone confirm or deny this? Melonhead blames brendan for him not gettting the GM job that he went for as brendans area was the one thing that held him back in esqi, profit etc. he had no choice other than to move to the states as he knew GM jobs come up once in a blue moon and he would be a city manager for the next few years at least. For me, melonhead was actually ok to deal with directly on a one-to-one basis. we seemed to get on ok. But on the other hand he turned a blind eye to brendans direct bullying and intimidation tactics especially on the BM staff. i want to make this clear to everyone reads this: Brendan keane (the area manager in u1) runs an area in which he would completely fail as a Branch Manager. His daily rountine is to ask his staff to do stuff he cannot and would not do himself and that to me is a coward. He goes missing when the going gets tough at certain points in the day and comes back later expecting everything to be done. he puts up a pretence that his BM's are not doing a good enough job where as actually they are doing better than he ever could in the same situation. If you currently work for Brendan take a few moments to think about what he is asking you to do and ask yourself "would he do that himself". His unrealistc expectations are setting you up fail and only in his warped mind are the things he asks you to do possible. he knows he would fail as a BM in his own area and i believe he was actually jealous of some of the success his branch managers were enjoying when he first took over the area. He turned this jealousy into anger which was initially expressed towards his branch managers but filtered to the rest of the staff aswell. so, is it melonhead or cabbagehead?

Have to totally agree with this gut, Neil Leyland was a pretty good City Manager. He pushed me all the way and would put his oar in, when he thought I was being treated unfairly. The drivers hated him though, as he would never give them the time of day |

Cabbagehead definitely. Remember the Shrek head he had on top of his aerial?! Talk about twins! He was alright. I know he had several conversations about BK with the managers in his area about how they were getting on with him. BK used to have a managers meeting on thursday's where he would take the managers out to a little chef or somewhere and go through things. By all accounts it was THE biggest waste of time ever. All he did was sit there in his sunglasses like he was a mafia don. As for 'protection' from the sack, allegedly BK's mum walks the Taylors dogs. Can't tell you if that's true or not. __________________ Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

can anyone confirm the story about the taylors dogs? anyway even if his mum does walk the dogs, surely even andy taylor would agree that brendan has to be sacked for all the stories that must have come out in the exit interviews? if i could ask brice adamson or chris adams one question it would have to be "Why does brendan keane not only still have a job with erac but believe he has a future further up in the company aswell?" what would you ask them?

I'm gonna go with Melon Head. There are many types of melon that are quite delicious.

I'm plumping for Bowling Ball head. I know it's not quite as catchy, but I'd have loved to have stuck my fingers in his eyes. The man was intensely patronizing, I felt. Mind you that probably came from managing BK every day and getting used to explaining things in their basest and most remedial form so he would understand.
