Here i'll save you the search. Your expereince at admin depends on your level.
Level 1: everyone out ranks you and the most common phrase you will here is "what are you doing?" from several sources.

Level 2: not even middle management yet, once again "what are you doing?" but now they add "you should know better" and "you're not thinking outside the box"

Level 3: Since these people are more elusive than a Yetti it's hard to tell what they do, but be assured that they will go into hiding when things at the branch level get drastic. IE 50 res' no cars

Level 4: Finally you don't have to do anything except ask the subordinates "what are you doing?" and tell them to "think outside the box"

Admin is easy street..no arsey customers......same pay at least(most cases higher) as rental and only work 45 hours a week max!!! Yeah rental is the way to make realy ££££ when only the elite branches ara making OP, really!!! Hence why any branch manager with an IQ over 110 moves to remarketing.

Admin is not always easy street. If you're in Loss Control for example in a high claims region, chances are you're always busy. It's a double edge sword in that case because your busy due to: a>high claim volume and b> limits to staffing because of high uninssured losses makes the break even higher.

Vehicle Aquisition/Remarketing/Vehicle Repair aren't easy jobs, hence the reason there are career paths there.

Business Dept. can be an easy street if your skilled in accounting and half way decent in organazational skills. We're not talking rocket science.

Callback representatives don't have it all too hard, but can have hard situations with branches who don't cooperate.

In general, it's a less stressful gig than rental but not every job in admin is cake.
