Default Uninsured insurance customers

I have just recently escaped the slavery that was my time at u2.

Just like everyones story, its great now ive left.

I hated the hours, pay, management BS etc etc. You've heard it all before !!!

The most alarming thing that goes on at ERAC branches at the moment is the employees having no problems putting insurance customers into cars their not insured to drive.

ie. RBS class a cust who crashes their corsa gets put into a 1.9 vectra est.
RBS only ins to a 1.4.

It'll be great for ERAC (not the cust) the day a serious accident occurs on one of these deals. Do you think that your area/city manager would be at your branch on the day that the customer walks in wanting to know why ERAC put them in a car they wernt insured to drive ?

Its actaully incouraged by management. Upgrade, upgrade, upgrade ! I can remember a time at my old branch when my GM/city and area managers were all there (helping out!!lol) and we were struggling for cars. My city manager knew we were short of cars and gained a mondeo for a class a deal.

I said... 'you know that RBS don't insure anything bigger than a c group on this deal'

'its better than nothing' was his response.

Surely all it would need would be a call to RBS to inform them of the undoubted 100's of their custs that are on the road in uninsured vehicles.

Mental Rental !!!

Cheers

If you were a rental employee of any aptitude you will know that ERAC are able to cover anybody they choose on their own TPI held with Chubb. This is all that is required for somebody to be legally insured.

But this costs money. ERAC will only do this in retrospect if the customer is involved in a crash that RBS wont pay for. ERAC do this by taking a couple of quid from the rate and paying chubb. However, ERAC being ERAC will try and get away with it and keep the money in the rate, saving £2 or whatever it is now per deal.
