The easy way to finish these scum bags you love and know as your bosses is just mess with the structure of this company i.e leave at 6pm, relax at work no 100mph running about like a muppet, bugger the deals up slighty, and do not under any circumstance get buggered by your bosses. cos at the end of the day you still get paid and no stress. Does the contract of employment say u have to work after 6pm if not LEAVE AT 6PM.

It says u will work until the job is finished basically.

Not true....When I came back to the UK from the USA I stated I would not work beyond 6pm and I never did! The moment that clock struck the hour I picked up my coat, ushered everyone out and locked the door!

Absolute shite. Evidently you have never had late mondial or corporate deals or been short of cars.

The contract states that the employee will work overtime when necessary (every day) and by signing it takes you out of the EU working time directive.

best thing you can do is make up an excuse as to why you cant work certain times (eg saturdays because of sporting commitments etc). if they try to give you the guilt trip, pull out the "work life balance" card

Actually what I wrote was 100 % true...In fact the reason for me leaving the company in the end was because for 6 months I was fighting with my area manager about not working after 6 pm, lunches for employees etc, etc...

I never said the people above me liked it....all I said was that I never worked past six! I promise without a word of a lie!
