Default Failing Enterprise - novelty?

When I first heard about this site I was on it daily getting the recent goss, finding out tit bits to give me a laugh about the plight of this pathetic company. But over the last few weeks it has gone seriouslu down hill and turned into a slagging ground for idiots who used to work at erac and have now got these fantastic jobs (I mean they must b fantastic if they allow you to surf the internet all day and post on this site......hmmmm thinking perhaphs they 'work from home' if you get my meaning). Admin is there not a way to stop the pathetic slagging off and just keep it business?

And before you start Joley, think! Have some respect for yourself and dont slag me off for having a voice and opinion.... I just dont want to read yours slagging matches. You are not the only one but you do stand out! Stop being so angry with enterprise you need to move on and forget them.

here here! I'm guessing that there is a lot of input to this site by our remarketing freiends, purely as there is a wealth of remarketing related chat and they have the time to put their feet up. news & gossip would be useful, not just annonymous (and cowardly) slaggin matches please.....

I agree it would be nice if there were more useful conversation and less lowbrow criticism, but other than leading by example and appealing to someone's better angels (yes, an Abraham Lincoln quote), I don't know how to influence this positively.

Free speech can be a mixed bag and you have to be brave sometimes to accept all of it. Frequently you have to put up with speech you don't agree with or that annoys you.

I suggest you provide positive reinforcement to useful, informative posts, and negative reinforcement to drunken slagging, and try to gently steer the quality of the conversation to a higher level. This U.K. forum might benefit from someone taking on a role like that.

Could you not alllow people to post unless they register ? I admit to writing negative comments however if you look at my previous posts they are retaliations to negative posts from "unregistered users" this will also hopefully stop "unregistered users" from downplaying this site. If they view a thread and really want to make a comment then they must register.

What does everyone think ?

This is a suggestion that frequently comes up. For example, see this thread from just a couple of months ago:

http://failingenterprise.com/forums/...ead.php?t=1769

In summary, there are advantages and disadvantages to allowing unregistered members to post. We get more speech, but we get lower quality speech. After reviewing this last thread, I was still convinced that we were still somewhat better off continuing this practice, but I'm always open for new ideas.

Maybe you could simply refuse to reply to unregistered posters and publicly announce that?

Maybe we could have a one week trial in which only registered members could post?

Anyway, I always want to hear more ideas on this issue.

How about a test? How about going one week on the U.K. forum in which you need to be registered to post? We could do that and see where it leads.

Good idea, successful companies aways look to for new ways to improve. In this way (as well as every other way ) Failing enterprise would succeed over enterprise.

I think you should give it a go !!!!

OK, I'm creating a new thread in the U.K. forum to propose this.
