Then you were the 1 out of 10 I mentioned in my response to a posting who for some reason "lucked" out and did get it ... one is better than none anyway !

Blessings and good luck to you :)

If you are talking about JC..don't even get me STARTED on that waste of office space.

I filed for unemployment in VT and ERAC said that I quit to get a new job where I was better paid. This was a lie, I had two options quit or drive 1.5 hours one way to another office. The decision whether or not I got my unemployment claim came down to what I put on my exit interview. Make sure you cover your ass when filling that thing out, make sure you honestly say how horrible it has been to work for the company and the BS they put you through.

There are complete losers in HR and area managers who have nothing else better to do. I was canned for renting a car and it got converted, so they fought my unemployment and claimed I deliberately intended for the car to get stolen. Unemployment didn't buy the story so I got paid. I get hired at a staffing firm three weeks later only to lose my job again three months later because of downsizing (branch I worked at went out of business). So what did I do? File for unemployment again. Guess who's fighting it again? ERAC. The state said because I reopened my original unemployment claim against ERAC that they're taking the tax hit on it and not my most recent employer.

These assholes have nothing else better to do. I am wiping my hands clean of anyone who worked at ERAC, plus add that any current employee I put down for references are instructed to give me a bad one by upper management. I will never rent from them again either, complete jackasses run this firm.

Where it comes to benefits, I have a priceless story for you all - In February I was delivering a car with another MT. I was in the runner, him in delivery car. I pulled up behind a stationary vehicle at a junction, he came around the corner, didnt see me in time, closed his eyes and took his feet of the pedals and drove into teh back of me at about 50 miles an hour.

Despite struggling for 2 weeks I had to go off sick as I was blacking out and had major neck and back problems - It turns out to be a neural injury and torn trapezium and deltoid muscles which will take over a year to heal and am on so many tablets its untrue - along with physio every week.

They denied me my short term disability pay and insisted on me seeing a doctor from BUPA. He said i was screwed and he would report I should not be back in work for at least teh next 3 months unless they changed my job.

I had aletter saying if I didnt go back to work on full duties I would be disciplined so left me with no choice but to leave. I am now working a part time job to pay my rent.

Despite my offer of not sueing them as long as they paid my time off approx £3500 for 3 1/2 months they said no - My solicitor is now suing them for loss of earnings, compensation, out of pocket expenses and breach of teh employment code - £3500 could have saved them what will undoubtably cost them multi thousands and with the 3 other cases he has against them he reckons over 1 million pounds in fees - What a bunch of dicks!

I was recently terminated for having a bad driving record. Only problem is that enterprise hired me knowing that i had a bad driving recrod. I filed for unemployment and was denied for "misconduct-off the job". I have filed an appeal and submitted the paperwork showing that enterprise rent a car was negligent in pursuing to hire me. In addition I also submitted papers to show that enterprise rent a car still kept me as an employee after finding that i had committed other driving offenses as well. They decided to can me two months after my last offense.Any chances that i will recieve unemployment?

depending on the state ui will deny you benefits if you were fired for something serious enough to be considered a crime such as theft or assault. it also depends if you committed the driving offence in a company car and the type of offence. if you were driving under the influence, hey man, your fault.

and the part where it says misconduct off the job i got canned because i got drunk and interrupted someone's wedding where i got arrested for it though the charges were eventually dropped, ecrap said my behavior reflected badly on the company though nobody knew i worked for erac.

OK, that was funny. Please tell us more about this incident. You must have really gone for it in order to get arrested.

it was my ex girlfriend's wedding, i just ran in there wearing a rudimentary toga and like a banshee screamed I OBJECT!!! i was drunk off my ass and it just happened that one of the guests was an off-duty cop. i was arrested for public drunkenness and disturbing the peace, what sucks was that even though my ex dropped the charges it was in the police blotter of the local paper two days after it happened.

i get a call the day after its publication from the RRM and she said come down to admin. she went into a screaming tirade about how could this happen, what were you thinking, and how my actions reflected very badly on the company (like i cost them to lose business). i of course protested and yelled back saying that nowhere in the police blotter did it mention me working for ecrap so how does that reflect bad on the company?

nevertheless the fat cow fired me for off-the-job misconduct that reflects badly on the company, i file for ui and they fight it. i at first lost out because they kept a secret file on me, made me look like a bad employee, and said because i was fired "for committing a crime" they gave some bullshit story that they lost customers because of it. i appealed saying i was never convicted of the offences and i was allowed to collect. pathetic thing is erac kept appealing (at least four times) with my former RRM and HR manager appearing in-person at the hearing, only to come up with a different story every time so i can't collect.
