Dear Failing Enterprise,

Hey while I won't say that some of the situations you've presented haven't actually happened, but with re: to complaint #1, how do you increase your own business? - -By being the cheapest and most efficient?  Or by "hating on"- the business model that has you still renting; if anything, this web site is tantamount to why you are mad because you are jealous of the tenacity at which the agents of Enterprise constantly make quality business decisions that both keep you renting and staying completely satisfied by spending more and more of your time and money that makes them, in a word-genius!

Have fun at Avis or budget and see what kind of special service they serve up...?  While you maybe a business man not all are successful, at least your here and not still in India, and by the way how many 7-11's are there in Punjabie..?

Dear Failing Enterprise,

If they are so bad why have I have had nothing but good experiences when renting over a 10 year period?  And, especially, if they are sooo bad, why are they far and away the number one car rental agency with so many locations.

You don't get there with lousy service.  I think you might of had a bad experience, what company can be free from that, and now have a wild hair up your butt.  Give it a rest.  There a really good company with very many satisfied customers.

Dear Failing Enterprise,

You have not idea what you are talking about regarding ERAC. ( Enterprise Rent A Car )

Check out JD Powers and associate they have won several awards for customer service.

read this book about ERAC. I bet you don't know the company history

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0944641237/qid=1137278064/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/002-9628379-4730404?s=books&v=glance&n=283155

By the way what is wrong with a "FREE UPGRADE" why they offered a Pick Up Truck.  I will talk to you later if you respond to this email.

Did you know they are the largest rental car company in America and are still privately held?  Buy the book above about Jack Taylor how one man built and empire.

If you don't like them so much.  Go work for them for a week and we will see what you think after you see what happens behind the scenes.

Dear Failing Enterprise,

Buddy, you got no idea how hard we work to make customers happy.  You got no idea how hard our job is.  I think I'm going to make a website about every time you make a mistake at work.

As for cars being at other locations for your reservations, we have locations everywhere so we can quickly pick up customers where ever they are.  This is a necessary evil that causes us to spread our inventory thinner.  This ensures the customer that they can be

1. picked up

2. taken to a car

as a company we do not guarantee your car will be at the location.  We do guarantee you we will find you a car.  This is clearly explained on enterprise.com where you said you made your reservations.  Honestly answer, what's easier, going to your local Enterprise and POSSIBLY getting taken to car or finding your nearest airport location as most other rent-a-car locations do not have local branches?  Remember, a lot of people can't get rides to these locations often 30 minutes and up away.

Furthermore, gas isn't free.  All we ask is that you return the tank with the same amount.  If there was less than a 1/4 of a tank it is due to the car just coming back. this is due to the necessary thinned inventory explained again.

NO COMPANY IS PERFECT, BUT WE TRY DARN HARD!

hey there masked buddy,

just wanted to say, it was quite relevant you didn't posses the intellect to be "power of attorney" so to speak. But none the less, you are quite insightful when it comes to IT..or at least web development for that matter (unless you had third party help for that too bucko---that would be desperate humility).

i do work as an "M.T." and i feel much you say is true.  I also perceived you as a bi*#h wild'n out on your ex.  No question, you were an employee.  Some of your usage and/or vernacular convincing calls you into question.  No more questions.  There is def no need for citing and going into quotes of your website, cause buddy i could create a perfectly cited paper/thesis work-of-art proving you into question in front of any jury of peers (in your poor case of life, prob less than more of those exist, ha)..so bi#*h no more questions.  YOU WORKED THERE!!!  the word admin is all i have to say!

also, why try to get such notoriety for a weak ass website.  it is very stalking and freakishly amateur. no imagination, pictures of the corp office were the only thins that peaked my interest but the captions didn't explain how much money went into that...etc...come on bro, amateur at best...you gotta take advantage of the capital spent for lavish things and ask why not on others...duh..journalism 101 you dumb-ass communications major..uh duh!!!! ha i love laughin at how elementary and poorly versed you are.

any way, you were just in it for the right, the good of things!  the do-gooder mentality.  so why do you post an "about myself section" is this whole thing about you, and how great you are at causin an uproar that no one ever hears except laughin employees that agreee with you.....

listen dick face...no its not...i would fucking nock you out with one quick left you little whining bitch.  your life sucks...this site st 3rd rate..and you never got famous... you whish you had my uncles a's money mother fucker.

sincerely fuck off

Dear Failing Enterprise,

While I can empathize with your frustration over the time lost waiting for a rental car, your assertion that no other industry in the travel/hospitality business overbooks their resources is wholly inaccurate, and reflects a rather naive understanding of business in general.

I used to work for Marriott Hotels, and I can tell you that the number of nights the hotel was overbooked vastly outnumbered the nights that it was not.  The reason for this is quite simple: the customer has no obligation to fulfill his/her end of the agreement.  Therefore, if the hotel, or in this case the rental car industry, only books the number of reservations to match its available rooms/cars the business will soon find itself hemorrhaging massive amounts of money because of dishonest, forgetful or absent people.  Moreover, how happy would it make you to sit in a rental office and have someone tell you, "I would like to rent you that car over there, sir, but that's reserved for two days from now."

Attempts to make customers leave a deposit with a reservation to insure their agreement have been met with massive popular disapproval, so what would you have the industry do?  In a capitalist society, businesses are only good businesses if they MAKE MONEY.  Sorry if that doesn't live up to your ideals of fairness and equality, but it's just the fact of the matter

Really, it sucks that you've had such an awful experience with renting a car, but get over it and rent from Hertz or Avis next time.

Sincerely,

Ryan Forber

Dear Failing Enterprise,

My boyfriend works for a branch of Enterprise in Illinois and I think this website is unreal.  Business is business, and all businesses are in it to make money off of other people.  I do not think that Enterprise is a bad company, and support my boyfriend in working there.  They learn how to be salesman and women, part of life.

I think you guys are ridiculous for whining about wasting time by waiting and so forth.  Suck it up, have you ever rented a car from Hertz or another Rental Company?  There are always glitches and waiting periods. It's called life.

Dear Failing Enterprise,

It is amazing to me how many of you are bitter that you could not make the cut within the company.  Instead of pointing the finger at Enterprise why don't you look in the mirror.  You where probably all half witted and untrainable.  It amazes me to see my former partners just turn over because you all failed yourselves..

Current manager and proud to be it.

Dear Failing Enterprise,

What's funny about this site.  Is that reading it is, is like reading a long book.  Written by one person.  It's the tone that's giving you away man.  I'm sure you have some beef with enterprise, but what gives you away, is that the tone and language of every letter is exactly the same, and the truth is all people, do not write using the same tone and language.

I think you need a new hobby man.  Maybe see a doctor.

#16.  2005-05-24

Dear Failing Enterprise,

Alright, I think that this website is full of untrue evil comments about people that do great justice to our country.  My father has worked at this company for over 25 years and he has helped many people get to where they need to be.  My family could personally sue you for making this website and quoting people with things that they never said.

Thank you for your time and patients.

Anonymous.

P.S. You suck!

#15.  2005-05-11

Dear Failing Enterprise,

It's sad that once someone can't handle rental car life & finally realizes that they're just piss-awful at enterprise, they have to turn around and blame the whole company who is, as far as I'm concerned, the only company out there who is willing to take on students fresh out of university and hand over millions (yes millions) of dollars worth of inventory for them to run.

They gave you the tools, the training, the trust & the support and some people just aren't cut out for the large commitment that goes along with running your own business.  Don't blame ERAC, every company has it's faults & I'm sure when you compare ERAC to some of the other companies out there who only supply dead end positions, layoffs, jerk managers, no sense family or teamwork at the office, I think you realize just how lame your complaints are.  ENTERPRISE NEVER PROMISED TO BE PERFECT only that we would try harder than any other company to take care of our customers & each other.

I challenge anyone anywhere to find any company that tries harder to achieve this.  And those of you that are so bitter that you've been kicked off the island & couldn't make it in the ERAC fraternity I suggest you grow up & find another job that has less hours & less responsibility like the starting bagel maker at bite-me bagels.....sore losers.

Jen

Proudly still @ Enterprise rent-a-car (and doing very well I might add) in Toronto

Dear Failing Enterprise,

You really have way too much time on your hands.  Just because you feel the service you are provided is not the best, I doesn't speak for the other 5500 offices across the country.  If you are this unhappy, take your business somewhere else.

A.

Dear Failing Enterprise,

I've used Enterprise many times and have always had efficient, courteous service.  I suspect you blokes are booger-eating morons.

#11.  2004-10-11

Dear Failing Enterprise,

Are you the Unabomber?

Just wondering because you share a lot of the same characteristics.  You are slightly delusional, highly educated, book smart but not street smart, definitely a loner and socially inept.

Obviously Enterprise is doing something right if you continue to rent from them.  Otherwise you are a fool for continuing to do business with them.  Are you a fool?  Perhaps instead of airing your grievances in this manner, you should try to talk to one of their managers.  Oh wait, that would require you to be communicate and you are a social leper.

You must run a great business yourself, perhaps you should let the world know the name of your business.

Good luck, Matt

#9.  2004-08-31

Dear Failing Enterprise,

I think I'm going to take J.D. Power and Associates word over yours.  If enterprise is so bad then why is it ranked #1 in customer service amongst rental car companies every single year?  Why is it the fastest growing and largest rental car company in the world?

Let's say you have about 1000 winy customers who have posted their individual horror story on your website....you think that's conclusive evidence that ERAC fails?  Are you kidding?  We see millions of customers per year and the numbers don't lie, it's the minority of customers who have a bad experience.

Enterprise does take customer service seriously and that's why promotions are based in a large part on customer service scores.  Do other companies have such a system?  ERAC hires a third party company to call RANDOM customers and check up on the service and every single month 80% are COMPLETELY SATISFIED.

Is ERAC perfect?  Hell no, but its a successful, growing, industry leading business that provides employment opportunities for MANY people and makes 80% of its customers happy.  Have fun putting your annoying little comments after every sentence I wrote.

B.E.

#8.  2004-08-31

Dear Failing Enterprise,

I work for ERAC, and just to set the record straight...you're the kind of customer that we hate.  YOU make our jobs difficult, you have nothing better to do but bitch.  If it's so bad, why don't you walk your lazy ass to another rental company??  Because you're cheap AND lazy.

I hope that office treats you like shit every time you set foot in there.  You're right, we are a bunch of young adults fresh out of college working harder than you'll ever know trying to make a living by dealing with ASSHOLES like you everyday.

I hope you take your business somewhere else...It's one thing to state your opinion about a company so vehemently and no longer use their services, it's another to talk shit then show your face again and again.

I'm sorry you're such a pathetic person with a sad life that allows time to create a website like this...I also hope you make the decision to walk a little further next time you need a rental car, pass us up, and take your bitching and whining to another company.

#7.  2004-08-22

Dear Failing Enterprise,

You are exactly the type of person who I would hate to see walk in my branch!  If we could avoid people like you, who complain about EVERYTHING my job would be ten times less stressful.  If you don't like Enterprise don't rent, drive your own car!!!  Then you wouldn't have to worry about it.  But I guess you are the type of customer who thinks we should kiss your ass and apologize for things that are beyond our control.  It's also obvious that in your profession you do not work with the public, otherwise you might be a little more empathetic.

- From a very happy Enterprise employee

#6.  2004-08-18

Dear Failing Enterprise,

15 bad experiences and you kept going back?  Either your an idiot or one disgruntled employee with lots of time on your hands.  My guess is disgruntled employee because no one could be stupid enough to have 15 bad experiences and continue to go back.  Obviously your an intelligent person, find something more beneficial to do with your time.

B.R.

#5.  2004-08-13

Dear Failing Enterprise,

I think that maybe you are too busy making false web pages that you are late to your meetings.  Try working in a branch for a day and see how you like the pressure from both sides and I guarantee you will see things differently, working with the public is not easy in any industry and people can be down right miserable.

This web site is a good example of how one person can think they have all the answers and not.  After all you have only rented at one branch and you say there are 6000 branches and you are now an authority on the company.  Have you received good service every time you have gone everywhere else your "busy" life takes you, or do you have more of these web pages about super markets, banks, post offices, etc.

Dude get a life and get the real facts before you start trying to single handedly change a company with your overwhelming lack of knowledge.

J.H.

#4.  2004-08-02

Dear Failing Enterprise,

As I read through your website and I couldn't help be intrigued to read each section.  As I got closer to the end, it became more and more clear...You have too much time on your hands.  Maybe you should take more time to understand the business and not knit-pick at every detail that only effects the way you live your life.

You mention extra gasoline expenses?  How is that?  If you drove your own car you wouldn't have to put gas in it?  If you didn't take the insurance and you got into an accident, first thing you'd say to yourself is "I should have taken the insurance".

Then you mention the corporate account situation but didn't really add anything to back it up.  You just said it was higher..  Did you call the branch acting like a new customer and got prices?  Did you go to another branch to get prices as a "walk up customer"?  If you were to actually do research into it, during peak season, you easily would pay 10-20% higher rate for your "full" size car than you would if you were a walk-in customer.  So, to make a point like that you should back it up with a little proof.

As far as the upselling and insurance selling, you can't continuously bash a business for trying to be profitable.  Every business does something to maximize their dollar..  Go for an oil change, and you have 7 other things wrong with your car.  Go to McDonalds and it's "would you like to super size your meal.  Go to a restaurant and your always offered side dishes or that expensive wine that goes great with your meal.

So, to sum it up..  You seem to spend a lot of time unprofessionally bashing a business that grows year by year.  Whether it be their fleet, their profitability or as you say "their fleet utilization", this company is growing at record pace.  Your quick little shots and one-liners about the company's way of doing things is almost borderline childish.  And the fact that you would take time out of your life that seems to be built around a schedule to do something ! like this leaves me ending this email by wondering just how strange you are.

R.P.

#3.  2004-07-14

Dear Failing Enterprise,

Sounds like you have nothing better to do...you seem to be as big a loser as the people you are ripping on.  Maybe bigger...not sure your worth a billion bucks...but I sure would like to be.  Seems this company is pretty much the American way.  How are they different from anyone else?  They're not.  You seem to have some talent...why don't you use it to do some good...stop wasting your energy with them.  Most logical people will realize as I do that you are most likely a real disgruntled customer or ex-employee.  Come on man...chill out.

R.T.C.

Dear Failing Enterprise,

GET OVER IT!!!

I would like to know what you do for a living and have you ever made a mistake?

How long can one person be on a lifelong vengeance, life is too short to be hateful about one stupid thing.

Don't you have anything better to do?

Have a great day.

J.L.D.

#1.  2004-01-25

Dear Failing Enterprise,

I saw that you built a website full of negative comments about qualms that you have with Enterprise.  I have no affiliation with them other than the fact that I rent from them.

I have a question for you.  Have you ever built a website that builds up a business that you were pleased with (sites involving your own business naturally don't count)?  If you haven't, it says something about you.

Maybe you should actually try focusing on the good things in situations rather than the bad.  This site strikes me as something designed by people who just can't quite be happy with life; designed by people who believe that nothing in this life is allowed to be imperfect even though they, themselves, hardly are perfect.

Sincerely,

A person who has rented from enterprise and had no real problems

P.S. Have you ever written a letter to a company about a job well done?  If not, then you don't really deserve to have us consider your bad mail as viable.

D.D.
