Customer Has Police Haul Away Aggressive Enterprise Employee From Workplace
During my 55+ days use of a rental car from Enterprise following a car
accident, I received over 80 phone calls to my home and job from the staff about
the status of my insurance company providing payments, etc. and when this was
going to happen. My insurance company authorized and paid for 45 days of
the rental, and I paid the remaining days as I waited for my car to be repaired.
Although, I did not authorize enterprise to charge my account after 45 days,
they continued to charge my account without my consent, continued to call me,
finally showing up at my home, even though they had charged my account well
beyond the days that I had used the car.
The final issue resulted when enterprise sent an employee to my place of
work, while I was caring for a critically ill patient, to demand the keys for
the car that was paid for at that time, up to the following Tuesday. I
called the police and had the Enterprise employee escorted from the medical
center. The employee from Enterprise had no authorization to be at my
place of employment, or to discuss the matter regarding my contract agreement
with the staff at my place of employment. Reminder, while this is
happening Enterprise has charged my account for the day and 3 days beyond this
day.
On the third day enterprise called the security officer at work and discussed
the entire contract with my employers, informing them that enterprise would be
filing a police report, stating that I stole the car, they also threaten the
insurance company in the same manner. My employers had nothing to do with
this contract. My privacy was totally ignored, one of the questions that
Enterprise ask, is for an employer and a supervisor's name. This
information should never have been given to Enterprise, neither should they have
asked for it. Needless to say that any promotions or advances that I may
have been considered for at work, I can forget. Reminder, enterprise is
being paid while I'm going through this nightmare.
I WILL NEVER RENT FROM ENTERPRISE AGAIN! Enterprise had my home
address, even picked me up from there, so why antagonize me at work? In a
letter that enterprise wrote to my employers following the incident, a
Enterprise staff member wrote to my employers and apologized for interrupting me
at work, but by this time too much damage was done to me, emotionally and
personally. Finally, Enterprise was paid in full by my insurance company
and the additional days which were not covered by the insurance was paid from my
personal account, without my consent, authorization, or knowledge until I got a
final statement.
